Isola Felice
Our organization runs a small shelter for dogs and cats in southwestern Sardinia. Currently, we have separate sections for cats and dogs. Unfortunately, the large number of animals in need is exceeding our capacity on site.
To keep our business running, we offer "Holidays in Exchange" year-round for anyone who wants to combine their Sardinian vacation with meaningful work: free accommodation on the island and help care for our four-legged friends and maintain the Isola. Castration projects
Durch Kastrationsprojekte helfen wir mit, das Tierleid einzudämmen, denn weniger unerwünschte, streunende Tiere bedeuten weniger tierquälerische Aktionen. Um dies zu erreichen arbeiten wir mit den örtlichen Behörden zusammen und versuchen die Bevölkerung für unsere Tierschutzprojekte zu sensibilisieren.

Medical care
At our shelter, all animals are dewormed, tested for bacteria and parasites, and treated. They are vaccinated against rabies and species-specific diseases. Dogs and cats are tested for common Mediterranean diseases. For dogs, these include leishmaniasis, ehrlichiosis, and babesiosis; for cats, FIV and FeLV. All animals allowed to leave the country are healthy, vaccinated, and microchipped. Adult animals in our care are also spayed or neutered to prevent further animal suffering.
